Offering Competitive Contingency Fees
What is a contingency fee?
A contingency fee is a method of payment in personal injury cases. As your Dunwoody personal injury attorney, I set a percentage that I will take out of your winnings in a settlement or verdict. This is my payment for providing legal services. Some attorneys use up-front costs, flat fees, or by-the-hour rates for their services. I believe that contingency fees are a very effective way to charge clients without becoming a financial burden during this difficult time in their lives.
What are the benefits of contingency fees?
Contingency fees have many benefits, including:
- Extra motivation for the attorney (I don't get paid unless I win)
- You won't need to worry about how much "time" you are using (many attorneys bill by the hour)
- Eliminates the "gambling" side of hiring an attorney (you don't have to pay up-front)
- You won't have to pay out-of-pocket for legal service
- Your attorney will seek a higher settlement (higher settlements mean higher pay)
25% Contingency Fee Offer
Most law firms set their contingency fees at 33-40% of a client's settlement or verdict. At the Law Offices of K. Douglas Cook, I provide out of court settlement contingency fees set at only 25%. This allows you to enjoy a large portion of your settlement or verdict. I believe that this competitive contingency fee rate sets my firm apart from the rest.
It is important to note that these fees are not permitted in all types of cases. Court costs and other additional expenses of legal action must be paid by the client in my cases.
